What is Usui-Do?Usui-Do is what Mikao Usui’s original (some are still living) students call his method. They also use the name Usui Teate “Usui Hand-application”. These are Usui’s teachings which are now being made available to us by his living students. These students are asking that Usui’s Spiritual Teachings be preserved.
Usui’s teachings are very different to what people have believed them to be. These spiritual teachings have no direct connection with Reiki Healing. Usui taught Personal Mastery, that there is no Master other than yourself. His teachings were varied according to a person’s beliefs and possibly education. His whole teaching was spiritually based and focused on practising and living the Precepts. Do Gassho every morning and every evening and recite the Five Precepts. “Just for Today”, be yourself. Usui-Do is a life long practise on a spiritual path, with healing and energy techniques and very essential empowerment procedures called Reiju. The by-product of this is being able to heal others.
