Stress Relief Anxiety Relievers

Stress relief anxiety relievers are becoming more in demand in our fast past society.

I can feel guilty about the past, apprehensive about the future, but only in the present can I act. The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness. Abraham Maslow

What part of your day do you spend in the present moment and doing a relaxing activity? There are many types of stress relief anxiety relievers such as abdominal breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, tai chi, yoga, and reiki can help to relax your body and mind. If practiced regularly they help to maintain a feeling of relaxation and peace.

Enjoyable health activities such as exercise, healthy eating, and regular stress management activities are good for you and help to reduce your levels of stress.

Many relaxation techniques are effective. There is no single method of relaxation that is the best. When you practice your chosen activity or activities regularly you create a state of mind that is healthy and balanced and able to tackle challenging situations when they arise.

The many different types of stress relief anxiety relievers can fall into categories such as relaxation techniques, how to cope with stress, and meditation to calm the mind.

Use your imagination and be mindful of your stress levels and the types of stressors you are dealing with.

Interesting stress relievers:

• Mow the lawn – physical exercise such as moving the lawn or vacuuming the floor, or removing clutter from a bedroom gets your endorphins flowing. Its also beneficial because it helps you focus on an activity other than your worries about what is stressing you!

• Close all the curtains and dance like crazy to your favourite music. (Clothes are optional).

• Laughing is one of the many excellent stress relief anxiety relievers. Laughing is good for you. Laugh out loud. It lightens your mood, makes you feel happy and is generally an all round stress reliever.

• Write down everything you have to be grateful for. Spend some time and write down as many things as you can think of that you are thankful for. (Oprah’s idea)

• Help a person in need. Find someone to do something nice for. Is there someone you know who is lonely or perhaps a community organisation who needs a helping hand.

• Monitor your breathing. Take a deep breathe. Start breathing more slowly.

• Build a successful online business. Sometimes work can get you down, but starting a business at home can generate enough income to work part-time or even work full-time at home.
