Reiki Level 1 suggestions for long distance learning:

When you feel ready, start to practise the hand positions on yourself. Give yourself a complete Reiki treatment.

When you feel confident get someone to be your participant and give them a Reiki healing.

In Reiki level 2 you are taught the symbols and spirit sounds to help bring focus to the powerful Reiki energies. Practice with them regularly until it becomes second nature to you.

Using the symbols and spirit sounds practice long distance healing. Get feedback from others.

What are attunements or Reiju?

Attunements is name that is used by the Western style of Reiki. Reiju is the Japanese name that Usui used. Attunements and Reiju are very similar in that they align your body and energies to receive a higher level of energy.

Attunements can be explained by comparing them with a radio. If you want to hear a good station you have to ‘tune it in’ (clear channel). An attunement is changing your energies channels to a higher life-giving energy. It balances and energizes the etheric bodies on a pure vibrational level.

When you do online Reiki certification the Reiki attunement is sent to you through the long distance healing method.

A Reiki attunement can be done long distance.

Reiki can be directed to any person over long distances, it can be sent to any location, any situation, to the past, present or future. It can be sent across the room or to your feet.

It is usually said that we send Reiki long distance, but if we believe that we are all One, realizing our Oneness with others then long distance healing seems to come closer. The concept of time and space becomes irrelevant during a long distance healing as we appreciate our spiritual connection with the universe. Energies know no boundaries, it is our beliefs that there are such boundaries there.

In Reiki we can use the “connection” symbol or kotodama to help us realize our timelessness, that our separation is non-existent and we unite with the person as we are One with All. Once we are unified, we simply let the Reiki flow as usual.
