Expert online business owners know that you must generate your own traffic by way of offering information that people are looking for. Your main task, before you start selling is to write valuable content (information) to attract visitors, in a way that Search Engines like.
What is the 4 step process to succeeding on the internet? CTPM - Content - Traffic - Presell - Monetize We've already established that selling is not your first priority. After all, how you can make a sale without customers who are willing to buy? The idea is to build valuable content that people are looking for…. with quality “keyword-focused content pages”. Each page is built around a particular topic – stick to one subject at a time. Each topic is based on keywords that people are looking for. The valuable content builds up trust and credibility with your visitor. They begin to like and respect you as a knowledgeable expert who’s offering them information that makes a difference in their lives. Warming visitors with valuable information builds credibility = Preselling! The Preselling process is an important process which opens up people’s mindset to making purchases. This is the key that makes it an easy internet business. Whammo! You have customers instantly drawn to your website... making it a success! With the CTPM process you’ll notice that Monetization is the last thing on the list. After you’ve build quality content pages, that rank well in search engines, your traffic will start to build. Valuable information = presold visitors. The conversion between preselling and making money is in building monetization methods on your site. Now… and only now… do you add money making ventures. Affiliate links, google adsense, your own products or store, selling services, etc. Consider your own shopping experiences on the Web. You are looking for information on meditation and find a page that is “selling selling selling” meditations. You don’t know who made them, you have no inspiring stories or relevant information – all you see is pictures of meditation cds and “selling selling selling”…. you are not being presold – you leave the site. Now compare that to a meditation page that tells you about the experience of the person in changing their life through meditation - and/or - they also explain how meditation helps to relieve the tension throughout your body and combat the affects of stress. You start to respect that person and become inspired to alter your life through meditation. Happens to be there is a meditation CD for sale on the site. “That’s the winning advantage of a "Theme-Based Content Site.” People buy from those they know and like. That’s the winning knowledge. That’s the reason why most small businesses fail online. They fail to follow the CTPM process 
Why do most small businesses fail online? Let’s consider for a moment that you want to make money online. You build a website, put your products on it and whammo! Nothing happens. Why? You have NO customers. Don’t worry. I did this a few times before I knew the secret. I built a couple of websites and sat back and watched them do absolutely nothing. (Except they impressed my friends and family.) Then I learned the CTPM process.
Its all about "information, information, information".... not about "location, location, location". An easy internet business takes proper planning.
